At Genesis Medica, your primary care physician is Dr. Sanjay Aggarwal, M.D. He is an internist (internal medicine doctor) who specializes in caring for all the health needs adults face from early adulthood through old age. Dr. Aggarwal and his staff of primary care nurse practitioners and physician assistants are experienced in treating today’s most pressing health challenges.
An Ounce of Prevention
The familiar adage, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” is very true. Today we have many tools available to give us advanced warning to prevent illnesses before they occur. In your annual physical exam, we run tests and screenings to check for signs of conditions that don’t exhibit obvious symptoms in their early stages.
Annual checkups let us keep an eye on your blood pressure, weight and body mass index (BMI), cholesterol and glucose levels. Depending on your risk levels, we can also do screenings for indications of a range of cancers—breast, cervical, colorectal, prostate, and skin—as well as sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).
